Contribution Examples

In 1991, the SREF fund received its 501[c](3) and the new foundation operated as it would continue to operate in subsequent years. Memorial funds were deposited and were continually augmented by amounts donated by The Rotary Club of Sebastopol and by individual donations.

"Jimmy's Kids" a telethon-type program modeled after the Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon raised $40,000 in pledges from Rotary Club members in just 90 minutes at one of its regular meetings.

A house was donated in Cloverdale. This is a non-Rotary contribution to the Foundation. Others have made similar gifts anonymously.

A husband and wife contributed $275,000 to the Foundation emphasizing vocational education and education for the 'average' individual.
